The Cactus Family is famous for its sun loving and generally easy care nature. There are around 1,750 Cactus species, some of which can live for up to 200 years. Cacti come in a huge variety of forms, shapes and sizes. They have spikes, which are used for self-defence from predators, can provide shade to reduce evaporation and can even collect water molecules from the desert air. Cacti are mostly indigenous to the Americas and aren’t native to Europe, Asia or Africa. Some have magnificent flowers and even edible fruits.
Here we’ve explored some of the most popular cacti species and have included some Euphorbias. We hope you enjoy!
