Care Tips For Ficus Benjamina Weeping Fig Plants

• Watering Requirement and Schedule

Water your plant once a week on average during spring and summer and once every 14 days in fall and winter. Always check to see if the plant needs to be watered before you water it; otherwise, you risk overwatering it and killing it. Besides, it is preferable to use filtered or distilled water. Filtering and distilling water removes hazardous substances, providing the finest hydration for your plant. This kind of water has a neutral pH level, which encourages growth.

• Fertiliser

Choose a fertiliser designed specifically for houseplants like weeping Figs. This ensures that the plant receives all the nutrients it requires and that there is no excess salt in the soil, which can harm or kill the plant’s roots. It’s always a good idea to verify your fertiliser’s precise recommendations to ensure your plant is properly fed.

• • It should be fertilised regularly, usually every 6-8 weeks during the spring and summer and less during the fall and winter.
  • A balanced, water-soluble fertiliser formulated for houseplants is recommended, providing nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in equal parts.
