MORE PLANTS = MORE HAPPINESS | Credit to: @aliciaherber

The benefits of houseplants are endless, but these very happy houseplants have one key benefit: sparking some serious
joy in your home. For a gorgeous scent or spectacular flowers, these plants are guaranteed to brighten up your space
and mood!

1. Flamingo flower

You can’t help but smile when you see this beautiful, long-flowered plant. Stick with the classic bright red or
choose one of the newer varieties that have pink, white, or lime green flowers.

2. Peace Lilies

If you’ve recently found yourself overwhelmed with Seinfeld and desperately looking for a little “Peace of mind”,
peace lilies provide the calming vibe you need in your life. The smooth, creamy white flowers are elegant and
meditative, giving off some serious yoga studio feel. It is also another great air purifier, so peace lilies are
simply good for your health! They also don’t need a lot of light, so if the flower is slightly browning around the
edges, you can move it a little further away from the window.

3. Chinese Evergreen

There are a number of foliage houseplants – crotons, caladiums and coleus, for example – that offer a splash
of color, but algae are perhaps the easiest to grow, tolerant of getting more rain. Look for pink speckled
‘Ruby’ or, if you prefer deep tones, speckled ‘Peacock’.

4. Boston Fern

This tall, shaggy, cheerful little fern is a gorgeous plant with lush green leaves. This is a plant with a
very unique foliage that is sure to catch everyone’s attention. Place them on a pedestal to let their
graceful leaves run long, place them on a tall stand to draw the eye upwards, or hang them in a basket to
really appreciate the showy and massive leaves. their impressions. They like wet weather, evenly moist soil,
and indirect sunlight.

5. Ponytail palm

Caudiciform trees (trees with large, woody roots) are popular, but many are expensive and hard to find. This
variety is widely available and can grow into a tall specimen tree that will treat the dry air in your
living room in a way that most palm trees cannot (and despite the common name, it is not really a palm
tree).

6. Spider Plant

This plant is not only unbeatable for its ability to purify the air, but it also reproduces at lightning
speed! Spider plants give birth to tiny baby spiders – tiny plants that can be plucked out and grown into
whole new plant. If you want to spread winter cheer, your friends and family will love receiving a small
fresh tree that you grow yourself!

7. Prayer Plant

This colorful plant has splashes of vibrant red, green and yellow that will never brighten your room
or mood! Even more amazing, this hyperactive plant is constantly on the move, slowly rising and
folding its leaves, albeit very slowly. If you leave the room for a few hours and then come back, it
will be in a totally different position. Having these strange and colourful plant-striking poses in
your living room is oddly thrilling!

8. Mini Monstera

If you don’t have room for a Swiss cheese plant but love its intricate leaves, this is a great
alternative. If it gets stuck too far, just hack it.

9. Burro’s Tail

This hanging succulent is quirky and fun – it instantly adds personality to the room. The small,
succulent leaves look like ripe green grapes, forming long tassels that spread out to the sides of
the pot like chubby green ropes. Like most succulents, it doesn’t like being waterlogged, so wait
until the soil dries out between watering and reduce watering frequency over the winter.

10. Echeveria

These swirly succulents are not only totally trendy and easy to care for, but they’re fun to watch as
they grow! In the spring, as the sun begins to shine, your echeveria will sprout long, slender
“arms” that will continue to produce many small pink flowers as they grow.
