Step aside Air Jordan, Air Plants are stealing the show! Introducing the legendary Tillandsia making the perfect gift or present for ye-self!! 🌿
Tillandsia – Air Plants Lighting & Position
Air plants like bright indirect light best. An east or west facing window is ideal. If there is sufficient light your tillandsia may flower and produce pups (baby tillandsias!)
Tillandsia – Air Plants Watering
Soak your air plants once a week in room temperature water for approximately 30 minutes. Drain upside down for awhile and then return to their growing area. These plants naturally grow on an angle to prevent rot from water sitting in the crown for extended periods of time – to be sure to replicate this in your home!
Tillandsia – Air Plants Humidity
Air plants come from humid environments where they grow epiphytically, they will appreciate a mist once or twice a week – especially if they are in a bright spot!
Tillandsia – Air Plants Fertiliser
You can drop a few drops of liquid fertiliser into the water bath a couple of times over the warmer months, but not at all over winter.
We recommend using our Plant Food available here.

Tillandsia – Air Plants Toxicity
Tillandsia, aka air plants, are non-toxic to dogs and cats. So if your cat is a little too fond of nibbling on your air plants leaves, don’t worry! … Keep your plants in a terrarium.
