How to create a spiraling Ficus Umbellata through Wire training

#Thejunglecollective!

Ficus Umbellata, the next big fig!

Want to get your Ficus Umbellata curving like this?

Training a full cascade-style ficus involves shrinking the tree by trimming the branches
and roots and wiring it to look like a windy tree growing on an embankment.

TIP 1: View your selected tree from any angle to determine the best preview.

TIP 2: Draw a rough sketch of the desired shape of your plant, taking into account the
natural properties of the tree. The lines and arcs determine the desired growth direction for your bonsai
branches.

TIP 3: Remove any branches that are in the way of the wiring process.

TIP 4: Avoid watering your plant the day before it is wired to promote greater flexibility.
Through wiring, train a long branch to bend and sweep down.

TIP 5: Repot your plants in a soilless growing medium after completing the pruning and
wiring. Water the plant and position it in a nice sunny window and wait for the magic to happen.
