FAQ

The best shade plants for your garden depend on various factors, such as your specific location, the amount of shade, the climate and other factors. Some popular shade plants include hostas, ferns, impatiens, astilbes, begonias etc.

Absolutely! While shade plants are known for their lush foliage, wide varieties also produce beautiful and colourful flowers. Examples include azaleas, bleeding hearts, columbines, and foxgloves.

Yes, shade plants are typically chosen for their ability to tolerate lower light levels and adapt to the conditions found inside homes or offices. They can be grown in containers or as houseplants in well-lit rooms away from direct sunlight. Some popular indoor shade plants include snake plants, pothos, peace lilies, and ZZ plants.

To improve shade conditions in your garden, you can strategically plant large trees or install structures like pergolas or umbrellas. Prune overhanging branches from nearby trees to control the amount of shade.

Not all shade plants are suitable for every region or climate. Choosing the ones that are well-suited to your specific climate and growing conditions is important. Consider factors such as temperature ranges, humidity, and frost tolerance when selecting shade plants for your region.

To prevent pests and diseases in shade plants, practice good garden hygiene by promptly removing dead or diseased plant material. Encourage airflow by spacing plants properly and avoid overwatering, as excessive moisture can lead to fungal issues.

Shade plants can be propagated through various methods such as division, stem cuttings, or seed propagation. Research the specific propagation techniques for the shade plants you want to propagate and follow the recommended steps for successful reproduction.

Great plants and great customer serviceI am very pleased with the customer service provided. My plants got delivered to a wrong address (by my mistake) and I wasn't able to get them back. I was sure that I lost my $200 worth of plants, but Gretchen from customer service was absolutely amazing and replaced my order. I was very impressed as I did not expect this to happen at all.
Thank you very much! I will order again!
