About San Pedro Cactus

The San Pedro Cactus features light to dark green stems with a 6-15 cm diameter and 6-8 ribs. Its whitish areoles bear up to seven yellow to brown spines, reaching up to 2 cm long. Typically 3-6 m tall, it branches from the base and may grow around broken branches.

The white flower, approximately 19-24 cm long and up to 20 cm in diameter, blooms at night and lasts approximately two days. The edible fruits of the San Pedro cactus are called Pitahaya and are red-skinned, scented, sweet, and tasty.
